I put the pen to paper
But nothing comes to mind
I try to remember what I had with you
But all I remember is just how blind I was
Before you let me know just exactly who you were

I thought I knew what love was
I thought it was you
I was obviously wrong

Do you ever think about me?
About us?
Do you ever wonder what might have been?
Would I be a father now?
Would we have a house of our own?
Would we be happy?
I think we both know the answer to that last one.

I guess I should be glad it fell apart
And truth be told, I am for the most part
And though I blame you for this
I guess I have to thank you as well
Because without you I would never be where I am today
Who I am today
It's all because of you.
And me.
